Globalization has brought in a clear shift from education as transmission of expert knowledge to education as building learner competencies with human values. Engineering education in India is experiencing shift from traditional teaching–learning method to outcome based education. Our department is also looking forward to enhance the quality and make the students globally competitive.

Our educational initiative is to create an academic foundation for technological development in our college which can be extended to global interface by giving way to education exchange in international territory as well. We identify individual talents, nurture them as talented engineers and create world class professionals.

Each course of the department has its learning outcomes that are derived after consultation with all stakeholders, benchmarking and intensive internal discussions. We are striving to collaborate with various industries/institutes of eminence around the globe, which helps student capture opportunities available for them. At present our department has academic collaboration with IITB-Spoken Tutorial, IIRS-Edusat Outreach Program, Virtual Labs and Gauss & Reimann along with this we have industry collaborations with TechMahindra –Makers Lab, Rucha industries, Endress+Hauser, Geneka Technologies.

We are confident that these collaborations will offer students an opportunity to view the world, and experience the cultural and academic diversity that exist globally and will emerge as valuable assets to society.

The vision of department is to develop computer engineers with necessary analytical ability and human values who can implement a wide spectrum of computer system for the welfare of society. In pursuit of this vision, the department actively organizes seminars, workshops, short-term training programs and value added courses providing various opportunities to showcase talents and innovative skills in variety of fields.

I, on behalf of CSE department invite you to learn more about the innovative research and learning process at CSE in MGMU JNEC, Aurangabad.

Program Outline

Computer Science and Engineering Department offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Ph.D. degree programs approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science & Engineering degree program primarily focuses on programming logic development by providing strong mathematical foundation for students through topics like calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics etc. These topics form the base for many areas like randomized algorithms, machine learning and optimization. The program offers a wide range of electives to choose from, according to the students’ interest. Hence promoting students to learn cutting-age technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Quantum Computing, Internet of Things, Neuroscience, Autonomous things, Edge computing etc.

In the age where technology defines the social structure, Computer Science engineers have immense control and responsibility, hence we believe in imbibing humanitarian values through Gandhian principles along with technological proficiency. A rational blend of basic and latest technology is offered to the students for being employable.

Faculty members make use of :-

  • YouTube channel where they curate video for their courses and upload it for wider reach. Students watch these videos and the contents are used for discussion. Students can also subscribe to the channel. It is a good creative outlet that gives students more content. It encourages a level of familiarity that helps to create a much more personal connection with students. Students enjoy learning at their convenient time by watching the content more often.
  • Largest open-source GitHub repository which is a code-sharing service to collaborate with students. Github helps faculty members and students to build a centralized repository where everyone can upload, edit, and manage the code files. This enhances the ability of programmers to collaboratively work on code.
  • SlideShare hosting service to easily upload/share presentations that are visible and accessible to the students/visitors. Personal web pages for information sharing.
