Undergraduate Program (B.Arch.)
Intake: 80

HOD's Message

Department of Architecture, under the umbrella of JNEC, was founded in 1989 and since then it is serving as hub for creative learning and productivity to undergraduate and postgraduate students. During my 29 years of association with this institute, I always feel proud to witness the development of the whole MGM campus. It is a wonderful demonstration of sustainable ways of life, which I am sure you will enjoy further.

The beauty of this program is our curriculum and methodology where students are encouraged to be inquisitive of their surroundings and the people that inhabit them. We want them to consider what exists, why it exists and where it exists. We want our students to understand that they are the part of a wider culture of place-making and material development. It is their designs that will influence society and have impact on our environment. It is they that will make the future.

The department is equipped with expert and highly qualified staff that always prefers to guide the students in exploring their ideas. This personal attention makes sure to experience the student – teacher rapport, which further outlines the excellent feature of JNEC.

Our students are so well connected to the Industry through several collaborations, frequent hands on workshops, seminars etc. The campus life is flourished with rich resources, infrastructure, clean and green ambience that gives rise to phenomenal learning experience.

Program Outline

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) undergraduate degree program at JNEC is approved by Council of Architecture(COA),New Delhi. It is a right platform for us wherein we wish to put light on the fundamental paradox basic contradiction that young generation must be dealing with, how to become modern and return to the sources at the same time? The key to the answer lies in Architecture program at JNEC.

We are proud to state that we, being the first architectural institution of Marathwada region having 30 year old strongly rooted platform, are continuously determined to cater towards best architectural education.

We develop sensitive and compassionate architects with skill, integrity and enthusiasm to create the architecture of goodness. Irrespective of the challenges imposed by the advancements in the technology we have achieved a balance by preserving the age old knowledge based learning methodologies and adding wisdom, value based approach, which a machine cannot teach.

The program revolves around studio culture where students explore life like design ideas with the help of teachers who take on the role of coaches, supporting students in their learning journey. Our success lies in the fact that they are able to appreciate all forms of art which further allows them to integrate the essence of it in their design career.

Our strong alumni network, wide spread across the globe, performing at its best is a significant proof of our achievement.
