Smart India Hackathon 2018

Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister for HRD, Government of India, inaugurated the 2nd edition of world’s Biggest Open Innovation Model – ‘Smart India Hackathon 2018’ on Monday, Oct 16, 2017.

The programme was organized at college of Engineering, Pune. During the inauguration Sh. Prakash Javadekar Hon’ble Minister HRD said that 60% population of this country is youth and they are smart, this Smart India Hackathon is for them. He stressed that last year around 2000 institute and 42000 students participated in the event and at least 1 lakh students should be participating this year. Prof.Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE and Chairman Smart India Hackathon 2018 told that 2nd edition of Smart India Hackathon will also have hardware Hackathon where students will develop gazettes and hardware devices for different problems, for example students should come up with some gazettes that can help differently abled peoples.
